Story

That day in Osaka, the sky was all gloomy, it felt like it might rain any second. All the city’s excitement stayed outside the door, so we went to the supermarket and swept a whole basket of little bottles— sweet sodas, soft alcohol—then carried everything back to our Airbnb. If we couldn’t go out, then fine— we’d do a tipsy challenge in the room. We each took a taste of a dessert first, then kissed, and made the other person guess the flavor. Cup after cup, small sips, big laughs— a flush spread across our cheeks, and a gradual warmth crept to the tips of our ears. But the more we kissed, the harder it was not to linger a little longer, go a little deeper— as if to devour that sip of booze, that tiny bite of sweetness, along with our very breath. And then we started to feel a little dizzy— our bodies went soft, our voices went sweet and mushy, our eyes stuck to the other’s lips, wanting to get closer… and steal just one more taste. We'd agreed, "Okay, we stop here," and the game should had been over. But then—my wifey suddenly lifted her head on her own, leaned in, lips reaching forward, bringing that faint alcohol haze and sweetness with him, pressing in for another kiss. So… don’t stop.
